Throughout the Fate series, pairs of MASTERS and heroic spirits - also known as SERVANTS - have fought in a number of "Holy Grail Wars" throughout history. The winning duo will receive an ancient artifact that grants wishes. Fate/Samurai Remnant continues the series' epic grail wars in the fourth year of the Keian era in Edo period Japan. Several decades have passed since the end of a tumultuous, bloody era, and while the people finally enjoy peace and tranquility, a battle between seven pairs of MASTERS and their SERVANTS looms as the "Waxing Moon Ritual" falls into shadow unfolded. Here, the game's hero, Miyamoto Iori, a young man in Asakusa, finds himself alongside his servant Saber in a battle for the last remaining pair who can obtain the wish granter, the Waxing Moon Vessel.

During the game you have the opportunity to explore the city of Edo, where row houses, samurai residences and brothels stand side by side. Here, the streets are bustling with people and the characters, rendered with a distinct Japanese touch, come to life. While following the story, players can interact with different characters and animals in the city, explore a variety of areas and face a variety of challenges while fighting for survival in the latest war for the Holy Grail!
