The famous adventurer Adol "The Red" Christin and his companion Dogi arrive in Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire. However, before Adol can even set foot in the metropolis, he is arrested. During his imprisonment, he meets Aprilis, who transforms him into a monster, a being with supernatural powers and exorcistic abilities. Adol must join forces with other monsters to fight the terrifying threats that invade the mysterious Grimwald Nox dimension. On his adventure, Adol uncovers the mystery of the Monstrum Curse and the truth behind the ongoing unrest in Balduq.
Now, Adol must join forces with his fellow Monstrums to fend off the fearsome attackers escaping of the shadow dimension known as Grimwald Nox. In addition, the mysteries of the monster curse must be revealed and the truth behind the riots in Balduq must be discovered. Join Adol in this new installment in the Ys series, coming to PS5 with all cosmetic DLC included on previous platforms!
